Northern Resonance passion is the art of resonance. The grand resonating soundscape is created by their previously untested combination of instruments; viola d’amore, hardanger fiddle and nyckelharpa.

With the resonating strings as their common denominator they let traditional Scandinavian music, such as polskas, waltzes and marches meet explosive rhythms, grand chamber-like arrangements and fine free improvisation.
The trio released their debut album in 2020 which was nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award. Northern Resonance has become one of the most interesting new bands from the Swedish folk music scene.
In the autumn of 2021 they did two tours with support from The national organisation for Folk Music and Dance (RFoD), Swedish preforming Arts Agency and The Swedish Arts Council.
They also received a scholarship from The Royal Academy of Music and did an official showcase at Womex in Porto, Portugal.
